Why cycling

A healthy, sustainable way to move

Cycling is growing in cities as sustainable transport. It also connects people with nature, encourages care for the environment and builds community, all while being a healthy and popular way of life.

We organize rides to raise awareness of our work, and we promote cycling to work and school. An IIT study found this saves more than 250,000 litres of fuel daily and improves air quality, and leading news channels such as NDTV and CNN-TV18 have covered it in prime-time panel discussions.

Using biosensor meters, we gathered data from more than 500 cyclists. It showed that regular cycling raises hemoglobin by one to two points, a welcome side benefit for riders who are also blood donors.
