Blood Donor Day 2019

Ganpati Visarjan 2019
Around 200,000 visitors came to Chhota Haridwar on the last day of the festival (September 8 to 12, 2019), and more than 100,000 on September 8. Compliance was 100%: idols went only into the designated pond, and the ghats were used for bathing only.
River Ranching
To restore ecological balance, thousands of young fish of selected varieties were released into the Ganga canal on November 30, 2019, with the U.P. Fisheries Department and students from local schools. It was the first time on these waters.
Ganga Greenways Cycle Ride
As part of the ongoing project to protect the Ganga waters in NCR and downstream, more than 100 students from both banks of the canal and Ganga Falls campaigned for the cause on cycles.

Ganga Cleaning Drive
The result of human activity by an estimated one million people at these ghats. During the canal shutdown, the river reveals the year-round abuse of its waters and aquatic life, which affects human life too. Green Shakti volunteers cleaned the ghats and canal, including the approach road.
